lesvos-2The Lesvos to Athens ferry schedule is available at the bottom of the post.

Many have been intrigued when the residents of Lesvos (Lesbos) didn’t want to be associated with the word “lesbian” and its well known definition and , as it often happens, such a controversy is quite enough to make you want to visit the island of Lesvos . But if you are also interested in spending time on the beautiful beaches, visiting the museums, checking out the traditional villages and monasteries or just hanging out in tavernas, then you should definitely plan to visit Lesvos.

Port of Piraeus

The port of Piraeus (or Pireas*) is large and can be a little confusing when you first have to deal with it. Make sure to download the map available on the Ministry of Mercantile Marine page and allow plenty of time to get to the gate your ferry departs from.

All the ferries to Lesvos depart from Port Gate Ε2 (the gate always appears printed on your ticket). This gate is served by a free bus within the port.
