All over Greece, the bars and cafes are opened until late at night. You can listen to any music, from traditional Greek to international trance, pop, jazz or alternative rock.

The night clubs are usually opened until 6 or 7 AM the next morning. The music is varied and you will find famous DJs heating the atmosphere (mostly in Athens and Mykonos).

During summer, some of the islands –Ios, Mykonos, Paros and Santorini – are transformed into real party islands. Streets are jammed with partying crown looking for one of the many clubs and bars opened until morning.

Athens

Athens nightlife
is in total contrast with how the city looks and feels by day. The numerous clubs, bars and pubs create a lovely atmosphere for the travelers looking to dance the night away.

Located right near the National Archeological Museum (1.4 minutes walk), Folie is one of the best dance clubs in Athens. You will find a wide range of music, stylish crowds and a great atmosphere.

In the same area, just half a minute from the National Gardens, there is Horostasion , a cafe by day and one of the hottest clubs by night. There are three floors, each dedicated to a style of music. Make sure to wear trendy clothes if you want to be noticed.

Corfu, the Ionian Islands

Corfu< is the island of beach resorts. They are jammed with young foreigners. The famous night clubs are located outside Corfu town in resorts such as Dassia, Gouvia, Kavos, Roda and Ypsos. In the town of Corfu you can always find great bars and clubs, a lovely opportunity to dance and have fun. Mykonos, the Cyclades

Mykonos is not the only Cyclades island with a vibrant nightlife, but it was the first. Year round, Mykonos is filled with crowds partying among the narrow streets, looking for the perfect club where famous DJs heat the atmosphere.

The island is also well known among the gay community. Well known gay friendly bars, such as Pierro’s, Icaros and Manto are located next to each other near the Taxi Square. The upstairs dance bar at Pierro’s has a lovely balcony that overlooks the street, while Icaros has a lovely roof terrace, perfect for some romance beneath the stars.

The three months of summer represent the highlight of the nightlife in Mykonos, while during spring and fall the atmosphere tends to be more sophisticated! Everyone comes to Mykonos and you are bound to meet Germans, Italians, English and French, all looking for some gay entertainment. During the summer months, you may even see some American gay cruise ship in town.

And by the way, it’s called “nightlife” because all parties start after 11 PM.

Rhodes, the Dodecanese

Rhodes has everything: from cafes and clubs to casinos. Rhodes is the place to be seen. Sophisticated clubs, bars and nightclubs are opened all night long. Most of the nightlife is located in City of Rhodes and in resorts such as Faliraki or Lindos.
