Budget Hotels near the Acropolis of Athens

In Athens , if you want to be close to everything – restaurants, historical sites, market, public transport system – your best bet is to look for a budget hotel near the Acropolis .

Here are some budget hotels near the Acropolis that you might want to consider for your next vacation in Athens.

Myrto Hotel

Address: 40 Nikis Str., Plaka

Located between Plaka and Syntagma Square, Myrto Hotel offers one of the best places to stay right near the Acropolis (5 min walk). The metro station is very close as well, which allows for quick transfer to the airport or the port.

The hotel offers singles, doubles, twins, quads and rooms with 5 beds, all with ensuite bathroom. The breakfast is included in the room price. There’s wi-fi access in the lobby and all rooms have AC.

During the high season (July & August) expect to pay €31 per person per night in a double (or twin) room with ensuite bathroom.

Fivos Hotel

Address: 23 Athinas St.

Fivos is located right by the Monastiraki metro station which makes it a great base for exploring the capital. The Acropolis is very close and the metro provides links to the port and other parts of the city.

Fivos is a hotel offering hostel prices. You can choose between single, double, twin, tripe and quad rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. Breakfast is included in the room price and so are the towels and linen. Rooms have AC in the summer and are heated during the winter. Fivos can be a great option for couples and families as it offers the privacy needed.

During the high season (July & August) expect to pay €22,50 per person per night in a double or twin room.

Athinaikon Hotel

Address: 40 Evripidou St.

Athinaikon is ideally located close to two metro stations and all the important sites in the area, including the Acropolis.

You can choose between doubles, triples and quads. All rooms offer AC, TV and private bathroom. Wi-fi is available both in the lobby and in the room.

During the high season (July & August) expect to pay about €23 per person per night in a double room with private bathroom.

Hotel and Hostel Lozanni

Address: 54 Kapodistriou St

Located a traditional building, Hotel & Hostel Lozanni has been recently renovated. It is part of the I.Y.H.F. and offers 31 rooms. Omonia metro station is close by which means you get easy access to the public transport system and the Acropolis is quite close as well.

Most rooms have private bathrooms and all rooms have AC and TV. Breakfast is not included but the linen is. There’s free internet available as well. You can choose between singles, doubles, twins and dorms.

During the high season (July & August) expect to pay €24 per person per night in a double room with ensuite bathroom.

Herodion, 4 Rovertou few steps from the Acropolis has a garden with panoramic views. Modern and well equipped rooms, the rooms offer more rear soundproofing. Pleasant conservatory restaurant with international menu
