Spetses Island

Located very close to the mainland, Spetses is a very popular island among Athenians. They flock here during each summer weekend and during Easter. Private cars are banned and the accommodation is quite limited but this doesn’t stop tourists from flocking here.

Day trips from Athens

While there are plenty of things to do in Athens , you should not miss checking out the close-by destinations, which are excellent for day trips. The islands of Hydra is a lovely choice if you are not looking for a beach destination, while the historic sites at Mycenae, Epidaurus or Sounion are great choices if you want to learn more about the Greek history.
