Where can I buy tickets from?

The easiest way is to get the ferry tickets online. You may also get the tickets directly from the port or from travel agencies.

If you plan to travel during the peak travel season (Easter , July & August), make sure to book the tickets in advance.

Does everyone charge the same prices?

The prices are the same, no matter where you get the tickets from.

Important note:

Please note that the ferry companies submit their schedules every Friday to the Ministry of Mercantile Marine and in some cases the schedules for July & August become available on online booking sites only several days before the vessels start operating on that route.

Looking for accommodation?

Patras doesn’t get nearly as much tourist attention as it deserves — but if you’re overnighting before the drive to Kylini, the area around the waterfront and Psila Alonia square is your best bet. It’s central, walkable, and has a good range of hotels at every price point. For something more upscale, the hotels along the seafront promenade give you a proper send-off before you hit the road.

Zakynthos Town is the natural base — it’s where most services are, the waterfront is lively, and you’re well-placed to get around the island. For something quieter, the villages around Alykes and Tsilivi on the northeast coast offer a more relaxed holiday feel with easy beach access. If it’s luxury you’re after, the clifftop hotels around Porto Zoro and the southeast coast deliver the kind of views that make the price tag easier to swallow.
