Rhodes or Rodos?

When you are looking up ferries between the mainland and island you are actually looking for ferries between two ports. So while the English speaking world uses “Rhodes” to name the island, you’ll find the port called Rodos (sometimes also spelled as Rhodos). The port code is ROD.

How long does it take to get from Naxos to Rhodes?

The ferries take 13 hours to connect the two islands.

Is there a high speed ferry between Naxos and Rhodes?

No.

How much does it cost to get from Naxos to Rhodes by ferry?

An economy class ticket costs €33 per person, one way, while if you prefer the airplane type of seat , you’ll rack up €35 per person, one way. For a 2-berth inside cabin (shower and toilet) the ticket costs €62.50 per person, one way.

How many ferries per day depart from Naxos to Rhodes during the low season?

125x125There are several ways to get tickets: online , from the ferry companies’ website, from Greek travel agencies and directly from the port. Do remember that if you plan to travel during the high season (July & August), you should buy the tickets several weeks in advance.

Does everyone charge the same prices?

Yes, the prices are the same regardless of where you buy the tickets from.

Important note:

Please not that the ferry companies submit their schedules every Friday to the Ministry of Mercantile Marine and in some cases the schedules for July & August become available on online booking sites only several days before the vessels start operating on that route.
