Australian Embassy in Athens

The Australian Embassy in Athens is meant to provide assistance to the Australian citizens visiting Greece or living here. The Embassy also maintains an Honorary Consul in Thessaloniki, but it’s advisable to contact the Embassy in the first instance.

The Australian Embassy can provide assistance in the following cases:

  • if an Australian citizen lost a passport or the passport was stolen, the Embassy can issue a replacement passport
  • in case an Australian citizen was victim of crime, is seriously ill or dies in Greece
  • in case an Australian citizen is arrested
  • in case an Australian citizen needs a lawyer or doctor, the Embassy can provide a list
  • in case an Australian citizen needs the latest travel advice
