Thessaloniki: Budget hotels near the White Tower

white-tower-thessUnfortunately, Thessaloniki only offers one real hostel and the reviews aren’t among the best ever. So, the next best thing is to look for a budget hotel.

And since location is important especially when you plan your daily sightseeing, why not look for something close to the White Tower ? You’ll be staying close to the city center, with access to public transport and close to interesting sights.

Navarino Guesthouse

Navarino Guesthouse is definitely a place for the budget travelers. It’s right in the center of Thessaloniki and offers basic accommodation: exactly what you need when you are here to check out the city, right? Rooms contain up to 4 beds and prices start at €17 per bed per night.

Plaza Art Hotel

Address: Pageou 5 Ladadika

At just 20 min from the port and right in the heart of the city you’ll find Plaza Art Hotel. The 3 star hotel is close to the White Tower and other important sights. There’s internet available in all rooms (for a fee) and breakfast is served in the room. All rooms have phone, AC and fridge.

Special offers are available and you should expect to pay between €50 and €85 per person per double room.

Hotel Rotonda

Address: 97 Monastiriou St.

If your budget is not that tight you might want to check out Hotel Rotonda. It’s a 3 star hotel, located in the city center. It offers 79 rooms, all with AC, balcony, fridge, phone and free wi-fi. The buffet breakfast is included in the room price.

During the high season (July & August) expect to pay €70 per night for a double or €55 per night for a single.
