Random Greece Photo of the Week: Plaka, Athens

This is Plaka, in Athens. I took this photo on a Saturday morning, in May 2017, before the tourists started to make their way in this area.

Plaka is a historical neighborhood in Athens, close to the Acropolis and extremely popular among holiday makers. It is where you find a lot of shops, restaurants, and cafes. Although it is lively and looks gorgeous, it is also busy and expensive. You can find Plaka between Syntagma and Monastiraki Squares. And the best way to explore? Just “lose yourself” in the streets. You’ll be delighted.
