Singed on April 30, 2007 and applied since March 30, 2008 The EU-US “Open Skies” Air Transport Agreement offers the possibility for any Community air carrier –all European airlines- to fly between any point in the EU to any point in the US without any restrictions of capacity or price. That means many airlines will be able to increase the number of flights and destinations they offer between Europe and US.
Until the agreement, the flights between US and Greece (and several other EU countries) were restricted to a certain number of weekly flights or certain airlines.
