Air controllers in Greece canceled the earlier plans for a 24-hour strike on July 14 and, instead, said they would stop work on Thursday, July 15 between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. (GMT) (according to Reuters ) . They protest against the pension reforms and they also ask for the overtime to be paid. On the same day, the public sector has planned a walkout against the labor reforms.

The strikes have affected tourism in May and June, when the air controllers didn’t join the protests as they chose not to affect the economy as well.

According to this press release from Aegean Airlines , the airline announced that it has been forced to cancel 9 flights and reschedule 37 flights on July 15, 2010. Only domestic flights have been canceled.

Updated added on July 14, 2010:
