Hotels in Mykonos

Hotel in MykonosMykonos is one of the most cosmopolitan islands in the entire world and its nightlife competes only with Ibiza and Rimini. Therefore we shouldn’t be surprised by the huge number of party seekers who want to spend their vacation in Mykonos.

Best Areas on Mykonos

Choosing a location as “best” on the island would mean doing injustice to the rest of Mykonos. The island is quite small (85 sq km / 32.8 sq miles) and has a generous shoreline (80 km / 49.7 miles) so it’s quite easy to find accommodation right on the beach.

For the party seekers, the best areas would be those close to Paradise or Super Paradise beaches, hence the southern part of the island. But do note that the hotels located in the southern part of the island tend to be more expensive than the ones located on the northern part.

Tips

Mykonos is one of the most sought after Greek islands hence you need to book well in advance. Do consider using a travel agency as they book the rooms “in bulk”, hence being able to offer lower room prices than the ones found on online booking sites.

When choosing your hotel, consider both the price and the facilities, since the categories aren’t exactly standard in Greece. You might find that a hotel located on the southern part of Mykonos might cost more than a hotel located in Mykonos Town, just because Paradise Beach is at a stone’s throw away.
