Best locations in Crete
Crete is divided into four prefectures – Chania, Heraklion, Lasithi and Rethymno – and in each are there are plenty of small villages filled with places to stay. The entire island is beautiful and there are plenty of things to do, so when choosing your hotel you might want to know which attraction is close by. However, all places are great and you can visit the island any time of the year. It just depends on what you want to do here.
Palazzo Hotel is located in Chania Town and it’s opened from April until October each year. It’s an A class hotel, located really close to the beach and to the city center. Each room is equipped with TV, phone, AC and small fridge. Prices average between €188/night/person depending on the type of the room.
Capsis Astoria Hotel is a 4 star hotel located in Heraklion town. You’ll find it right near the Archeological Museum. It’s perfect both for leisure and business travelers. There is a pool and wi-fi internet can be used all over the hotel. The room prices average between €140 and €200/room/night. The prices include the breakfast, VAT and service charge.
Elpida Hotel is located in Istro. Open from April to October the hotel is located close to important historical sites and also rather close to the beach. A week in a double room costs €455/double room during the low season, €457/double room during June, half of July and September and €637/double room during the high season (the second half of July and August). The prices include half board (breakfast and dinner) and all taxes.
Macaris Hotel is located in Rethymno town and is open from March to November. The hotel is overlooking the sea and the Venetian castle. All rooms have phone, TV, AC and fridge. During the high season (July to mid-September) the prices range between €60/night/room for a single room, €80/night/room for a double room and €150/night/room for a 2 rooms apartment. During the shoulder season (May, June and second half of September) prices range between €50, €65 and €165 for the same types of rooms mentioned above. All prices include breakfast and all taxes.
