Where can I buy tickets from?

125x125You can buy tickets online here but there are certain limitations especially related to how far in advance you can purchase. You can also buy the tickets from travel agencies. But the simplest way to get them is directly from the ports. If you plan to travel during the weekend in the middle of the peak season, it’s advisable to book them several days in advance.

Does everyone charge the same prices?

The prices are the same on line, at travel agencies and in the ports.

However, when you book online, service fees may apply based on the country you book from. And if you choose to get the tickets deliver via courier, you’ll pay the shipping fee (you can choose to pick them up in the port).

Important note:

The ferry companies submit their schedules each Friday to the Ministry of Mercantile Marine so it’s advisable to double check the schedules couple of weeks prior to departure.

  1. @John Chaplin: the website isn’t associated with a ferry company. There are two daily departures from Paros to Mykonos, listed at the end of the article (please read carefully).

  2. Is there any ferry from Paros to Mykonos on 18 Oct 2009?
I would like to get to Mykonos from Santorini, but there is no direct sailing. Thus, I am planning to get Paros first on 18 Oct 2009 and then go to Mykonos. Please advise.

  3. @frankie:
yes, there’s a ferry from Paros to Mykonos leaving at 11 a.m. from Paros (getss at 11:40 a.m in Mykonos). It’s run by Sea Jets and an economy ticket costs 19 euros/one way.

  4. Dear Cristina,

Thank you very much for your help, one more thing I would like to clarify whether it is the only way to get to Mykonos from Santorini on 18. Is there any alternative way?

    Deeply appreciate

    Regards,
    Frankie

  5. @Frankie

there isn’t a direct ferry from Santorini to Mykonos on Oct 18. An alternative would be flying but the flight is via Athens (on Aegean Airlines) and adds up to 120 euros/one way, at least.

If you choose to depart from Santorini at 7 a.m. on oct 18 you have a 50 min window to catch the ferry to Mykonos. I surely hope it won’t be delayed. Maybe you could leave Santorini a day earlier and stay a night in Paros?

  6. @frankie:
the thing is that they keep updating those schedules and ADD more departures. So i need to update them yet again.
the info i gave you today is directly from a booking engine (the time, etc).
can you email me please at greece@logueit.com ? I’ll give you more details.

  7. Arriving to Mykonos airport at 13.20 Wednesday 12 August, WHERE do I catch the ferry from Mykonos to Paos and then WHERE from Paros to Antiparos?? And are there plenty taxis available?

  8. @Joan: ferries depart from the port (some islands have several ports and the name of the port is always written on your ticket). There are buses and taxis in Mykonos to get from the airport to the port. I would advise to get a taxi though. Fares are standard and are printed in the stations.

  9. Hi all,

We are arriving in Mykonos in mid (16th) May next year does anyone know what time the ferries go to Paros and on which days?

  10. Dear Cristina.
My wife and I arrive in Mykonos on Wednesday 5th May at 1320hrs. What ferry is available to Paros. Your website does not show low season timetables. Also can you tell me the best way to get from the airport to the ferryport and how long it should take.

    Thanks
    Bill

  11. @Bill: there’s a ferry from Mykonos to Paros at 10 a.m. on May 5 so it’s definitely a good idea to stay for a night on the island before heading to Paros. The next day (May 6, Thu) there are 2 ferries: at 10 a.m. and at 2:55 p.m. An economy non-smoking seat on the 10 a.m. ferry costs 22 euros/person/one way (journey time: 40 min). Your best bet would be a taxi but since you have to go to a hotel anyway, they’ll guide you.

  12. Dear Cristina,
Great help thank you. Another question. We need to get from Paros to Amorgos on 12th May. I have only found one ferry at 2200 hrs to Aegiali port which arrives at 0110 hrs on 13th May. Is that the only one available on that day?
    Thanks
    Bill

  13. @Bill: you are welcome and glad I could help. If that’s the only one you could find, that’s the only one you can book via the system. It is possible to find other connections but they are not listed by booking sites. So you are left with asking in the port.

  14. Thank you very much for the info. You really do provide a very helpful service and your replies are very quick indeed.
    Very best wishes

    Bill

  15. Hi there, please could you confirm the times (if any) of the ferries travelling from Mykonos to Paros tomorrow, Wednesday 19th May? We arrive at Mykonos airport at 13.20 – would it be advisable to stay in Mykonos until the following day?

    Many thanks,

    Anthony

  16. @anthony: On the booking website I cannot check b/c it’s impossible to book for the day you leave but I could find a ferry at 10 a.m. (in the official schedule).
The next ferry is on Thu at 10 a.m. so yeah, you should stay overnight.

  17. Hi
I am visiting Mykonos on a package holiday fo 2 weeks on 17th September. I would like to hop over to Paros for a few days. Can I safely assume that there will be a regular service this late in the season? Can you point me to any shedules? or are any days definately off?
    Thanks
    Stuart

  18. @Stuart: From Mykonos to Paros there are connections that late in the season, as follow:
daily at 10 a.m. until October 10, 2010. The company is Sea Jets Consortium. So yes, you can safely assume you can get to Paros in early autumn by ferry. However, you won’t be able to book the ticket online until July or August.

  19. Hi

I am visiting Paros from 7 September to 9 September 2010 and would like to do a day trip to Mykonos on 8 September. I see that I can leave Paros at 11.10 the morning, but there is no ferry back again. Do you have any suggestions how I can back to Paros on the same day again?

    Thanks

    Tania

  20. @Tania: I found the ferry from Paros to Mykonos at 11:10 a.m. on Sept 8 (and can be booked online already) ; but the only ferry back (available in the reservation system) is at 10 a.m. on Sept 8. The official schedule lists only this connection. Looks like you’ll be stuck in Mykonos for a night?

  21. Hello there
I hope you are all well. Could you please tell me the availability and time of ferries from Mykonos to Paros on October 2nd and from Paros to Mykonos on Thursday 6th October.
Could you please also kindly specify the company to use and if we can book the tickets online and in advance.
Thanks a lot and kind regards from London

  22. Hello my family and I are planning on travelling back to Mykonos from Paros on the 6th of October do you know if there will be a direct ferry running on this day or will be have to travel via Naxos. I can see one company offers Friday dates but unfortunately I can’t seem to find it on their site.

      Also, kindly check your email.
      Cheers,
