Corfu is one of the Ionian Islands , offering tourists a lot of history and incredible beaches.

One of the ferries connection is with Patra (or Patras ), on route to Italy. The city of Patra is the third biggest in Greece and the getaway to the west. It has a real feel to it, totally different than Athens or Thessaloniki and definitely worth exploring.

Patras or Patra?

The town was once known as “Patra”. Today, you’ll find it’s spelled in both ways, look for “Patra” when you need to check out the ferry schedule.

How long does it take to get from Corfu to Patras?

The journey between Corfu and Patras takes between 6 h 15min and 7 h 30 min, depending on the ferry and company.

Is there a high speed ferry between Corfu and Patras ?

No.

much does it cost to get from Corfu to Patras by ferry?

The prices depend on the vessel and class you choose.

So, expect to pay €30,00 - €33,00 per person, one-way on the deck. An airplane type seat costs €30 per person one way as well. A 2 berths cabin outside costs €72,00 per person, one way.

How many ferries per day depart from Corfu to Patras during the low season?

There are less connections between the two ports starting with early October and by November there aren’t any ferry connections. The low season schedule will be available by about the same time.

How many ferries per day depart from Corfu to Patras during the high season?

The high season usually runs between June and October but in some cases, the same connections can be found as soon as the ferries restart their schedule.

So, between May and October expect to be able to use the following ferries between Corfu (port of Kerkyra) and Patras:

  • at 1:30 p.m., on Thu & Sat (until Oct 31)
  • at 2:45 p.m., on Mon & Sun (until Oct 5)
  • at 9:30 p.m., on Tue & Sun (until Nov 1)
  • at 10:45 p.m., on Tue & Wed (until Oct 8 )


Are there any overnight journeys between Corfu and Patras ?

Yes, there are 2 ferries which arrive in Patras at 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Departures are on Tuesdays and Sundays at 9:30 p.m. as well as on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:45 p.m.

How about the ferries from Patras to Corfu ?

There are two ferries linking Patras to Corfu during the high season:

  • at 11:59 p.m., on Mon , Thu, Fri & Sun, arrives in Corfu at 6 a.m. (until Oct 5)
  • at 11:59 p.m., on Mon, Wed, Thu & Sun, arrives in Corfu at 6:45 a.m. (until Oct 29)


Where can I buy tickets from?

You can buy the tickets from the port, from a travel agent or online.

Does everyone charge the same prices?

The prices are the same regardless of where you buy the tickets from.

Important note:

The ferry companies submit their schedule every Friday to the Ministry of Mercantile Marine so it’s a good idea to check the schedule couple of days before departure as unexpected changes might occur.
