A powerful earthquake hit parts of Greece this Sunday morning, waking people from sleep. Fortunately, there have not been any reports of injuries or damages. Despite the earthquake, everybody was very calm this morning in Athens.
The earthquake hit at 7:14 AM local time at 75 miles southwest from the capital, Athens. A BBC reporter who lives in Greece reported that his house shook for about 20 seconds.
The earthquake was estimated to be a 6.1 magnitude according to U.S. Geological Survey. Aftershocks are not expected, although the earthquake was felt all over the country.
