Earlier this month, the Greek carrier Aegean Airlines announced a new service to London. Flights are scheduled to start on May 15. There will be two flights per day to London’s Stansted Airport.
Also, starting May 2, a new service to Albania’s capital, Tirana, will be launched.
Aegean Airlines will also be extending their domestic network with flights to the islands of Limnos and Cephalonia.
Currently, the Greek carrier is planning to renew the fleet with 25 new aircrafts by 2010, out of which 10 Airbus A320/321 aircraft are expected to arrive soon as part of the investment program.
Last year, Aegean’s passenger traffic grew 18%. International traffic rose by 35%, while domestic traffic only by 10%.
